Souper Saturdays

Saturdays 12:20 - 2:00 pm

The Sheldon Store in Rupert is now offering Souper Saturdays for the winter. Beginning on Saturday, January 18, we’ll be serving a different homemade soup each week from 12:30 – 2:00 pm, following our usual coffee hours, which are 9:00 – 12:00. Of course, you are welcome to stay through the 12 – 12:30 break while we transition from our breakfast offerings. Soup is served with Rupert Rising bread. Donations are appreciated.

Note: This is NOT a class for the computerized sewing machine. The classes will run for 4 weeks building upon the previous lesson and culminating in a finished piece.

Elizabeth Winters is an experienced seamstress, costume designer, and teacher, who enjoys sharing her knowledge, skill, and passion for sewing with others.

Sewing Class

Wednesdays, 2:00- 4:00 pm

Beginning February 5, 2020

This is an introduction to understanding your sewing machine, whether you are a beginner or would like a refresher on skills you may not have used for some time. Join Elizabeth as she guides participants through the mechanisms of the sewing machine, how to read a pattern, tools, basic sewing techniques and a simple project. It is best to bring your own sewing machine to familiarize yourself with it, but having a sewing machine is not required, as there will be several available if needed.  This class runs for four Wednesdays, the last class being on February 26.
